Rebel stared with disbelief at the stallion, “Impossible… Unless…” He stared at Demon and a smile over took his face he charged Demon and tackled his to the ground. Ruffling his mane. “Demon, you llittle devil!” He nipped his younger brother and remembered everything, he wasn’t an only child no… she did have Rebel first the when she could bred and bare another she did. Demon and Rebel had grown up together, tighter than ever. He heard the mare’s comment, “I you don’t believe me then come with Demon and I. Then you will see the power of our mother’s spirit.”
He looked at Demon overjoyed, happy to have his other half back. He couldn’t believe it. These many years apart and yet they were still best friends. It blew his mind away then he remembered Andera, “Come Brother, come see mother would she be over joyed to have us back. Together, alive, still the hellions we were once.” His voice was dark yet a tint of happiness lined it.

Shadow Demon felt a smile breaking out on his face, as Rebel, too, made the connection. His brother. His long lost brother. After so long... To be reunited with him... A miracle! The black stallion gave a grunt as he as tackled to the ground, and felt someone ruffling his mane. Snorting, he butted Rebel affectionately with his head, glowing with happiness to be reunited with his brother.
Demon looked up, surprised, at Rebel's words. "So.. Now I'm coming with you?" He asked heaving himself up to his feet. "What about some politeness here? You know, asking?" A hint of a tease was in his voice, as he nudged Rebel playfully.
In all those years, he had never felt complete. Many a time, the black stallion had opened his mouth to point something out to his brother, only to remember that he was not there. Now, Rebel was back, friendship and bond as staunch as ever. He was complete.
Demon smiled wryly. "I shall come, Brother. But my mares should stay here... I think. Maybe Mother would be so happy to find us alive that she will release your lead?" He spoke, voice tight with happiness.

Frozen snorted aggressively. "Not a chance Demon." she said gruffly. "I demand permission to come with." she said. She walked up to Rebel. "This better not be a trick, filly," Frozen hissed. She looked around and saw a cliff nearby, "Because if you do, you'll find yourself dead on the ocean floor so fast it will make you're stupid mother dizzy." Frozen snorted. She turned to Demon, nuzzling him affectionately.

Demon looked at Frozen and shrugged, smiling gently. "Okay then. Anyone else wants to come?" He asked, snorting in amusement. Listening to Frozen, he nuzzled her gently. "Rebel won't lie. Not to me, at any rate. And once you've seen our mother, you'll believe anything."

Frozen snorted. "Nobody else may come. After all, I don't trust this colt." Frozen said. "I don't want to endanger any innocent souls." Frozen said. It was obvious she was irritated with even the stallion's presence.

Frozen rolled her eyes. "Oh yes, because he is oh so perfect. Even when he basically killed my sister!" she bellowed, getting in Rebel's face. "You killed my sister! Meagan! You took her life!" Frozen bellowed, biting at Rebel. She backed away, taking deep breathes to calm herself. Frozen hadn't been getting a lot of sleep lately since... the incident. So she's easily angered. "Demon. He took my sister's life, and he didn't even care!" Frozen said, holding back hot tears of pain and anger.

Shadow Demon stood, ears flattened in shock. "Is this true?" He appealed to Rebel, heart crying out that it was not. This did not sound like his brother at all. Drooping his head, the mighty stallion nuzzled Frozen, comforting her, before moving a step forward to nuzzle Rebel. "What happened?" He asked in an undertone.

Frozen answered the question before Rebel could. "He claimed my sister's heart. Then he shattered it in pieces. She loved him so. But after he broke her heart, she went into a depression. She wanted him to set her free, but he would not. The land was dark and with little food. By the time a strange stallion had come and saved her, she was beyond repair. She died two days later." Frozen said.

"THAT'S A LIE!" The death black stallion bellowed with anger. His eyes brioght as he relived the memories of Meagan. He lowered his head then raised it. "Meagan i had taken in to be my queen, but then the power my moms spirit gave was to much for her to handle. She became something she wasn't... I hated that and wanted her to be free, so I found another and she took the spirit, then since Meagan wasn't lead, she didn''t love me. So who betrayed who?" He looked at Frozen who spoke to him with venom. His eyes dark he stood staute still as if being watched by his mother, head high he couldn't move as so many memories came back.

Frozen snorted. "You betrayed her! You're the one who took her to that damned hill in the first place! You knew Meagan wasn't strong enough to handle you're mother's stupid spirit! You knew that! And her blood is on your hands." Frozen bellowed back. "You killed her! You killed her! And you didn't even care! Meagan loved you even after she wasn't your retarded queen anymore! But she couldn't handle watching you smother yourself all over a new mare like that, that's why she wanted to leave, but you refused to set her free! So yes, you did kill her, you lying, sniveling little basterd!" Frozen bellowed.

"THAT'S A LIE! She yelled at me and demanded to leave. I still loved her and I cared for her. But she shut me out and screamed in my face. Then she tried to run away instead of coming to me calmly." He now stared at the mare with pointed eyes. His teeth bared as he spat out the words. "If she truly loved me then she would have stayed and been with me for as long as we lived. That's love, but right to my face she said she hated me and wished me dead..." He trail off and reared lightly then in a great struggle he turned and surpressed his anger. He closed his eyes and saw the fire of hell.
He remembered the day she had wanted to leave and how he felt his heart crack. He knew he wasn't one to show his feelings to often. He released a breath, anger still hot on his heels. He didn't dare to look at her or his brother. "Demon... I am so sorry." He couldn't stay. It would never be like the old days, he knew it. If he could leave his land and mares things would be wonderful, but not now. His eyes grew sad but no one saw.
He lifted a hoof and started forward at a slow walk. A river had torn them apart, but they were reunited, and now though... They were forced apart by a mare who was sister of his love. His head drooped with sadness. He loved Meagan dearly, but you can't love something that doesn't love you back. He knew it all to well, his mother saw him nothing but a killing machine, the love of his life saw him nothing but a jerk. Only his brother had truely loved him, but if he knew the real reason he would hate Rebel.
Rebel stopped and looked back at his brother he whispered, "I am sorry for everything." He turned and continued slowly. Crows and ravens snickered at his sad form. Vultures hovered close hopeing.

Shadow Demon stood, stiff and filled with sorrow as Rebel recounted his tale. He took a step forward, intending to comfort his brother. The black stallion understood, and forgave Rebel. How could he not? They were brothers after all. Blood is thicker than water... They always said. Demon finally understood what it meant. He could never leave Rebel.
Demon's brother turned, and slowly walked away. Noo! Demon wailed inside his heart. They had just been reunited, how could they be apart now? The black stallion bounded after Rebel, swinging himself in front of the black stallion, preventing him from walking.
"Rebel!" Demon said softly, eyes glistening with sincerity. "You are my brother. I love you. I always will. Whatever you might have done, you are my kin." With that, Demon stepped forwards, nuzzling his brother's cheek. "I will still come with you," He added. "Your lead needs to be freed."

Frozen snorted, a disgusted look on her face. "She did no such thing you lying bastard! Meagan was a kind mare! She told me she asked you to leave in a calm manner! She said you wouldn't let her go! You were mean and evil toward her!" she said. Then he reared against her, and she reared back, her forelegs thrashing to break his skull, but she kept her anger bottled and didn't hit him. "How dare you rear against a mare! That just proves you would harshly treat one! Now get out of here Rebel! Nobody wants you here!" she bellowed. "I shall never help you! And neither will anyone of this herd! I don't want my friends and family helping a killer! And that includes Demon." she said, turning to him now. "Brother or not, he killed my sister. I don't want you helping a murderer!" Frozen said softly. She turned away sharply, flicking her banner and disappearing into the forest. She was like an angry mother grizzly protecting her cubs, but on the inside, she was crumbling to pieces. She was wanting to cry, and scream, and yell, to just let it all out and let the tears flow. She wanted to go back there, crying or not, and rip him apart for what he had done to her beautiful sister. She found herself in a large meadow with chest high grass. She fell to the knees, and then her rump hit the ground. Hot tears rolled down her face. She closed her eyes tightly and screamed to the starry night with both anger and rage. But if you heard the scream, you would think she was being eaten alive. She dropped her head so her neck was arched. She closed her eyes tightly and her silky mane flowed down toward her head as hot tears continued to burn her like a blazing fire. She cried heavily, thoughts of her sister Meagan flashing through her head. She looked at the starry sky and then dropped her head again, she closed her eyes. She looked up, and memories of Meagan played out in front of her. She was breathless as she saw her and Meagan as foals. Then another memory flashed as the met their very first stallion, their first love. His name was Daemon. He was so nice to her. Then suddenly, the fantasy faded and a black figure appeared. It looked like Meagan, like she was actually there, solid and breathing. "Meagan?" Frozen asked. "Hello Sea." Meagan said. Her voice was perfect, so... real. "Meagan." Frozen breathed. "What is bothering you?" Meagan asked as she and Frozen walked toward each other. "You're murderer. He is here, within the land. I am scared he will take me away, and hand me the same fate as he handed you." Frozen said. "No need to fear my sister. Shadow Demon will never let that stallion take you." she said. "Meagan, I thought you died... How are you here?" Frozen asked. "Sea, I never died. I just simply, disappeared." Meagan said. Frozen was, once again, breathless. "I-I-I don't believe you." Frozen said. Meagan giggled. "Could a ghost do this?" Meagan asked, walking up to Frozen and nuzzling her. "No." Frozen said. "You-You're really here." Frozen said. "Of course I am." Meagan said. "Come. We must calm your stallion." Meagan said. Frozen smiled as she walked with Meagan. "Rebel!" Frozen bellowed. "I was wrong about you!" she said. "I was very wrong. You didn't kill my sister." she said. "Because... she is still alive." Frozen said walking up to him. Frozen turned her body to look at the forest and whinnied. A beautiful black friesian mare walked from the forest under an arch of vines. "Hello Rebel." Meagan said flatly. "Sea is right. I am not dead, obviously. But I merely just disappeared." she said. "I found a loop hole in your land standards and set myself free." she said. "But that loop hole I had discovered you shall have to find out for you're self." Meagan said. She walked up to Demon. "Before I 'died', Sea told me much about you. You seem like the kind of stallion that would give your life for her." Meagan said. "Sounded like Rebel, before he turned mean and nasty." she spat the words at Rebel. She shook her silky mane and looked at Demon.

“You were no longer mine but my friend’s Justin’s mare. You found a loop hole in his lands not mine.” He turned from Frozen, Demon, and Meagan. He no longer felt love and as he refused to look at either he spoke to Demon. Sadness lined his voice as he spoke,
“There is a reason you fell in the river…it’s my fault. I overheard mother and father talking. About you and me, we were suppose to fight, and both knew I would win. So I took you to the river knowing if we got to close it would cruble and you would fall in. I was so sure you would make it out. But when I saw you struggling I had to try and save you…Mom found me but she thought you were dead. I forgot about you while trying to save you. She thought I murdered you. I knew in front of our father I couldn’t kill you… so the second best thing was making sure you were far away.”
He refused to look. He had killed many he was a murderer, he knew it. He had killed stallion, mares, and foals. Through the rampage he had with a group of others. He had killed an innocent colt, one who belonged to Rain Dancer. His mother’s friend, but bitter hate and greed had made him kill Kid. Thunder N’ Rain had fought hard but it was in vain. He now spoke to Frozen…
“You’re right Frozen I am a killer, a murderer, a slayer. I have killed many, including your brother’s mare’s son. I killed him and I enjoyed it. To save my land it was worth it. I rolled in his blood and laughed in mockery at his dead corpse. As the birds swooped down I drank some of his blood, and coated my hooves with it. Oh how joyous it was. The color of blood always made me happy. I have killed many stallion and mares along with their innocent babies. I had massacred dozens by the numbers, and I loved it.”
He opened his eyes and they were filled with blood thirst as he relived those days, then he turned his attention on to the fact of Meagan and he felt extreme sorrow. He remembered how perfect it was then she turned sour and he knew it wasn’t her that was meant lead.
“Meagan, you had yelled at me to release you from my land, but I was so enraged you would ask that of me I couldn’t let you free. So when you were trying to run away with that other stallion I decided you were better with my friend Justin. He tried his best, but I guess nothing is meant to be. Even with Andera as queen I loved you… But now, I have no love.”
He looked toward the cliff; it was so easy and inviting. The crumbling edges would never hold him, he knew it but now…. He would want it. He shook his mane and lifted his head. His voice held no emotion now; it was over his brother and him, Meagan and him. None of it matters, none at all. He shook his mane once more and said,
“Do not let me hinder you further; this is the last you’ll see of me.”
With that he took off suddenly for the cliff and jumped, he soared down to the water and landed with in it. He surfaced and swam to the low shore. He shook and galloped away. Out of the lives of all he cared about, possibly out of Riding Freedom forever. Or matbe it was simply a trick and he would come back as nothing but terror, but as he galloped away speeding like a bullet it was behind him. All words and thoughts, he felt nothing now as he went ahead. His hate and vengeance all he had now, even then they seemed so distant. It would take a miracle to catch up to his sleek muscular figure as he fully extended it to a gallop; he went into the sunset without a single emotion behind him. His black figure like a shadow, stretching far over the land, it would forever haunt his brother’s memories and any he loved.
